fill in font fun

much of my font fun comes from handouts for church, announcements, invitations, and minibooks. i so have a crush on the old ck fonts that filled in. today, let's create something with a font that you need to fill in. this means we can get out our crayons, our markers, our watercolors. our digital brushes. anything that will help you use a bit of your left brain. see you soon with my new creation!

ps - did you know that coloring is a stress reliever? true. one of my friends was told by her therapist that she had to color a picture a day with crayons. good ol' wax crayons. i hope she had the giant pack with all the nifty colors! that is my favorite!

if my handwriting were a font...

Do you have a font that you go to again and again? I have a handful of said fonts but I seem to go to them for different things. This font, Susie's Hand, is the font I use for pages that have too much journaling to do by hand, but seem to want that handwritten message from mom. What is your go-to-font for your own handwriting? I am generally an up and down girl, not a side slant, so this writing seems so good for me. My friend, ashley is a slanted writer, so her go to fonts are all slanted. Funny how we are. (We meaning people, not just me and ashley. I mean, we are a funny sort, i know, but well, now i protest too much!!)

title fonts

when considering fonts, don't forget about the title...I am a HUGE crush on American Crafts stickers  and thickers . I can't even begin to pick a favorite, I L.O.V.E them all. I love that they make a million (almost) different fonts and textures so you can find one that is perfect for the season, feel, and style of any layout.  Have a fun day with your stickers your thickers and your candy coated knickers. (Okay, not your candy coated knickers, but you have to admit the day would be quite fun if you were wearing candy coated knickers!! teehee!!)

favorite fonts

do you have fonts that you just come back to over and over? my good standby's are some of the first i bought. keep in mind that my very first layout had computer journaling, so i have been buying fonts as long as i have paper. i have all the old ck font cds --the first ones, not the souped up versions that replaced them. i went to a scrapbook usa way back in the day and took a font class as i was having trouble fixing the kerning or something and wanted to learn how to do it with their program. valerie pingree taught the class and after i bombarded her with so many questions she gave me some guys name to call to ask!! i of course was too shy to do so, and the problems i had mostly fixed themselves as their software got better and better. i still use ck journaling and ck handprint for lots of church handouts. and this font doodle dot i believe is from an old cock a doodle doo font cd. loved their stuff. oh, the memories.

not much going on here today. edited a billion pictures for a friend today. here are a couple of my favorites! happy day!
